How Much Should Headshots Cost?

The cost of headshots varies greatly from photographer to photographer and from region to region, so it's impossible to say exactly how much headshots should cost. Your session might be as little as $150 or as much as $500 or more, depending upon the experience of the photographer and what options that photographer is going to include.

HeadshotsSome photographers have package deals that include everything you will need, while others price their services a la carte, with separate charges for the session, developing, etc. So be sure you're not comparing apples with oranges when you evaluate what various photographers charge.

Don't shop based on price alone! If you go with a "bargain" photographer and have to throw out the results because of their inexperience, it's no longer a bargain. Conversely, just because someone has a high price tag, it's not necessarily an indication of quality. Base your evaluation of photographers primarily on the quality of their work. Then, if all else is equal, start comparison shopping based on price.
